PALO DE VIBORA (CYATHEA DIVERGENS)
Palo de Vibora its scientific name is Cyathea Divergens and it is a tree fern. It is also known as palo de víbora, Aztec roo,t and pesma. It grows in Mexico (Chiapas, Yucatan and Veracruz) and Costa Rica. It is a plant that belongs to the ferns, it is threatened and must be protected.
The trunk takes advantage of it, which is cut into pieces and you can see the marks similar to snakes that run through them. They are dark lines that resemble vipers. The trunk is cut into pieces that are sold in markets (I bought it to test its benefits, they sell it in portions for a month and it does not have a high cost).
It is a plant 10 to 20 cm long with branched stems. It has yellow and pink flowers that grow in spikes and are protected by a leaf.
